Also the Cowboys can't get their players to go the Patriots way because...well the Patriots are a multi Superbowl winning team. That's why only they can get away with doing it.

I feel like the rest of the league are the day traders of the nfl. Inefficient and lose 35% their returns to tax. The Patriots are the Warren Buffett. They value their players and only buy when they are “on sale.” They make sure they know what they’re getting.

The Patriot way requires 2 things: Belicheck and Brady, two things the Cowboys have no one close to that level!

I get Mike's point, but this is a business first. Why doesn't every team go the "Patriots way"? Although the Patriots win, they have absolutely no problem cutting these "team guys". Get your money guys, you have a narrow window to do so.

Dallas can always find alternative talent. No one is irreplaceable. Problem is that Jerry Jones has that billion dollar stadium that he has to keep at capacity. If he makes any earth shattering trade, it could affect his ticket sales.

As long as Jerry Jones insists on pretending to be a GM, the cowboys will remain being an underachieving team. The day Jimmy Johnson walked, was the day I started shoveling dirt on the cowboys. I'm a life long 49er fan but I'm also a football fan. As much as I despised the cowboys I equally respected Jimmy Johnson cowboys and no disrespect to Jason Garrett.

Its too late to not pay these guys. Tom Brady won a super bowl before his payday. They were winning so guys wanted to go there and win. Cowboys aren't winning.

A friend and I were discussing Dak the other day. We were talking about who we would swap even for Dak and it wasn't $30m a year QBs. We were talking the Tannehills, Daltons, Flaccos type of quarterbacks. Dak plays not to lose, has no deep threat and is overrated hugely in Dallas. Its funny how Romo was a 4000 yard a year guy is hated but Dak is praised. Dak getting $30m a year is going to be awfully hard to swallow when they rely on him to carry the weight.

No matter what you think of the Patriots... they seem to win and it’s the culture around the organization. No trash talking... they just go out and play. Yeah... I know... everybody hates the Patriots (unless your a fan, of course) but you have to respect what the organization has done and how they run it. Even players that were once trash talkers... when they go to the Patriots they quiet down because the the Patriots organization won’t put up with it. You know... I was thinking... maybe it’s like the Marines where it’s not about the individual, it’s about the team. Like it or not they have a bunch Super Bowl wins to prove something they are doing is working.

They're all overpaid, overpromoted, and watching professional football is not what it used to be. Give me the 70s when a player played played for the team and not the paycheck. College football is infected by the pros because they're getting groomed to go to the highest bidder, but I'd still rather watch my school teams than deal with a bunch of whiney professionals who may be your star player one year, then turn around and sell out to their biggest rival the next. Bring integrity back to these teams, and players show support to the greatest bunch of fans on the planet by respecting our soldiers, our flag, and our national anthem. If you don't like America, go to another country and make your millions before you're 35.

Bottom line you have to win 1st, before that a player would have to be a fool to take less and then to lose & get traded off anyway...Please.
Out of the 32 teams, the Patriots are the exception, not the rule. Any team trying to implement anything the Patriots do without winning first is a freaking DELUSION.

The alarming stat is when contracts for only 3 guys can amount to 25% of the team cap when you have 50 other players to pay, that's championship suicide. Greed will be the premature downfall if the front office caves to these selfish egos.

Jerry and Dan Jones won't and don't spend much time using Mr. Kraft as the rule or litmus. These owners and guts have been participant and a part of comoeteive football at an elite level for six decades! People on the moon for all things considered. Acquiring a top flight receiver like Amari, lising Dez, Ezejiel going wide and far. Ro Jerry and Dan's credit" the Cowboy legacy and organizstion is the map and blueprint of what you aspire to be. Some soao opeea early×+ however you cant scoff at the team rgey put out there.

The Cowgirls are still living off the glory of 25-30 years ago, where they literally won the NFL lottery by duping the Vikings into giving them that SB Roster 89-94 for an aging RB in Herschel.
    J. Jones at this point is an Al Davis replica.
Nothing will change until Jerry is gone.
